Vokolla's press release agent drafting a release from a few notes

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Oct. 25, 2026 – Vokolla has connected its press release agent to AI assistants and coding tools, including Claude, Cursor and Gemini, so developers can prepare a press release for a new product in the same place where they built it. The connection uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants work with outside services, and is available to anyone with a free Vokolla account.

Independent developers and small software teams often finish a product and then stop at the launch. Writing an announcement that news sites will accept is a different skill from writing code, and switching to separate tools and agencies takes time that many builders do not have. As a result, many open-source projects, apps and software tools reach users more slowly than they could.

With the connection in place, a developer can ask the assistant to draft a release from the project's own description, README or changelog. The agent asks for any missing facts, such as a launch date, a location or a quote, rather than inventing them. It then checks the draft against the editorial requirements that publishers apply, including a dateline, a factual first paragraph and neutral language, and explains each issue it finds.

When the draft is ready, the assistant saves it to the developer's Vokolla workspace. The developer then opens Vokolla to choose a publishing package, confirm the final version and pay; nothing is ordered or charged from the conversation. After submission, the developer can ask the assistant for the release's status, and receives an email at each stage and a report that lists every page where the release appeared.

Typical launches it is built for

Open-source releases, new apps and browser extensions, software-as-a-service features, developer tools and side projects that are ready for their first users.

Setup takes a few minutes: the developer adds Vokolla's connector address to the assistant or editor, signs in to Vokolla and approves access. Instructions are published on Vokolla's connector page.

"Developers can now build and ship a product in an afternoon with AI tools, but telling people about it still feels like a separate job," said Richard Lee, founder of Vokolla. "We want the announcement to be the last step of the same session, written and checked by the same assistant that helped build the product."
