Three Kerala Friends Who Started a Clothing Venture in College Now Run a Tirupur India Apparel Manufacturing Unit

TIRUPUR, Tamil Nadu, India, October 2, 2026 – Hagenco Exports Global Clothing Private Limited, which operates under the Fismo Hagenco partnership, is an apparel manufacturer based in Tirupur, India's knitwear hub. The company was started by three friends from Kerala who began their venture while studying in college.

The founders started the business in 2020 while studying at St. Joseph's College, Calicut, with a small first order for a college event. Because Tirupur has an established base of garment-making skills and supply chain infrastructure, they later moved production there and set up a dedicated manufacturing unit.

The unit currently operates with 20 machines and a team of 15. Hagenco works as an OEM and bulk manufacturer and produces a range of garments for international brands and events. The company's minimum order size is 100 pieces. Its services include sampling, private label manufacturing, custom printing, embroidery, packaging and export documentation.

"We started with very little except trust in each other and a belief that Indian-made garments can meet global standards," said Shahil, Co-Founder of Hagenco. "Our focus is consistent quality, honest timelines and long-term partnerships with the brands we work with."

Tirupur is widely recognised as one of India's main centres for knitwear production and garment exports. The city's manufacturers supply both domestic and overseas buyers, and its cluster of fabric, printing, embroidery and finishing units allows smaller manufacturers to operate across the production process.
