Suzhou Singmed Medical Device Science and Technology Ltd. ("Singmed") participated as a Gold Sponsor and exhibitor at the 2026 International Conference Exploring the Future of Inhalation Drug Delivery, held September 8-10 in Parma. Through product displays and technical discussions, the company presented its pulmonary and nasal drug-delivery platforms for next-generation therapeutics.

The scientific program highlighted the widening scope of respiratory and intranasal drug development. Sessions covered respiratory mucosal mRNA-LNP vaccination, pulmonary nucleic-acid delivery, inhaled RNA therapeutics, intranasal antibodies and nose-to-brain delivery. The agenda signaled a broader move beyond established asthma and COPD products toward biologics, nucleic-acid medicines and CNS-targeted delivery.

For these modalities, device development must address more than aerosol or droplet generation. Preservation of critical quality attributes, delivered-dose reproducibility, regional deposition, device compatibility, and usability increasingly need to be considered as one integrated product system.

Singmed showcased liquid delivery platforms for pulmonary and nasal administration based on photolithographically manufactured silicon micro-nozzle technology and low-shear liquid atomization. The platforms are being developed for complex and shear-sensitive formulations, including mRNA-LNPs, antibodies, proteins and peptides, with prefilled formats and patient self-administration among the key design priorities.

Singmed’s Chairman introduces the company’s products to conference attendees.

"mRNA-LNPs, antibodies and proteins place fundamentally different demands on a delivery device than conventional small-molecule formulations," said Albert Zhao, Founder and Chairman of Singmed. "Device selection must start early because aerosol performance, dose consistency, regional deposition and patient use are all part of the final drug product. We are advancing low-shear, prefilled pulmonary and nasal platforms to help partners develop robust drug-device combination products."

Singmed supports pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners with device feasibility assessment, formulation-device matching, in vitro performance characterization, design control, and manufacturing scale-up.
