Epithalon 10 mg COA, Crescent Bioresearch: endotoxin 13.4 EU per vial vs 40 EU threshold, annotated BTLabs report

ALBANY, N.Y., Oct. 22, 2026 -- Crescent Bioresearch, a supplier of laboratory compounds, has published the Epithalon certificate of analysis for lot CBR-E10-260411-001. The endotoxin result is 13.4 EU per vial against a threshold of 40 EU per vial. The vial holds 10 mg, so the result is 1.34 EU per milligram.

Epithalon, also known as Epitalon, Epithalone and AEDG peptide, sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, CAS 307297-39-8, is supplied by Crescent Bioresearch as Epithalon 10 mg for laboratory research.

The Epithalon page

BTLabs, an independent laboratory in West Palm Beach, Florida, tested the lot on June 16, 2026, using the gel-clot Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) test under USP General Chapter 85, Bacterial Endotoxins Test. Endotoxin, the lipopolysaccharide of Gram-negative bacteria, is reported by that test in endotoxin units (EU). The page gives a result of 13.4 EU per vial, a threshold of 40 EU per vial, a sensitivity of 0.25 EU/mL, a test volume of 3 mL and a determination of PASS. The result stands at 34 percent of the threshold.

One result, more than one limit

The threshold on the certificate is the laboratory's. A research entity may hold its work to a different limit. Against the laboratory's 40 EU per vial, the lot passes with 26.6 EU to spare. Against a stricter limit of 20 EU per vial, it passes with 6.6 EU to spare. Against a limit of 10 EU per vial, it does not pass.

A determination of PASS answers only the first of those three comparisons. The measured value answers all three.

What the figures convert to

The result divided by the fill is 13.4 EU over 10 mg, or 1.34 EU per milligram. The threshold converts the same way, to 4 EU per milligram for this fill. In the 3 mL test volume, the result is a concentration of about 4.5 EU per mL. Each figure is labeled on the Epithalon annotated endotoxin report.

"A pass compares a result with one limit," Crescent Bioresearch said. "The measured value can be compared with any limit a research entity applies to its own work."
