Collaborative ABA Services Annual Meet and Greet Returns for Fifth Year in Partnership With Middletown First Responders

Middletown families and first responders come together for a fifth year
MIDDLETOWN, CT — September 22, 2026 — On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Middletown Recreation facility at 140 Wilderman's Way will open its doors from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a morning built around fun, connection, and community resources. The Collaborative ABA Services, LLC Annual Meet and Greet returns for its fifth consecutive year, in partnership with South Fire District, Middletown Police Department and Middletown Recreation.
At its heart, the Meet and Greet is a chance for the community to connect with local police officers and firefighters. The morning is designed to promote positive, comfortable interactions between children of all abilities and first responders, so that children can meet the people who serve their community in a relaxed, welcoming setting — and so families can build familiarity and trust with the first responders who may one day help them in an emergency.
Attendance is free and open to families throughout Middletown and the surrounding communities. Children and individuals of all abilities are welcome, and the morning will include games, activities, and refreshments. Sonar, the Hartford Wolfpack mascot, will make a special guest appearance.
In addition to the activities, community partners will be present throughout the event to share valuable information and resources with families, making this a unique opportunity to learn about and connect with local organizations. This year's participating partners include Middletown Prevention, Russell Library, the City of Middletown Health Department, Change Inc., the Meriden Early Start Program, the Yale Child Study Center, and others.
