BIMC Premier welcomes performers in voice, piano, strings, and other instruments. In 2026, BIMC Premier attracted more than 500 participants from 16 countries, reflecting the competition's growing international reach and appeal.

For 2027, BIMC is introducing the Grand Prix Award, carrying an additional cash prize of $2,000. The award will be selected exclusively from Gold Medalists who compete on-site. The Grand Prix Award recognizes exceptional artistry, musical interpretation, stage presence, and overall performance excellence. The $2,000 prize is in addition to the prizes awarded to Gold Medalists, providing an exciting new opportunity for outstanding performers to gain recognition on an international stage.

BIMC particularly encourages college-level music majors and emerging professional musicians to participate in the 2027 season.
