5Talents Magazine Relaunches Online, Publishing Weekly After 12-Year Absence
HYDERABAD, India — 22 September 2026 — After a twelve-year absence, 5Talents Magazine has returned online at 5talentsmag.com, publishing new stories every week alongside the archive of its original run. The Christian magazine was founded in Hyderabad in 2012 to find and celebrate people using their God-given gifts.
The magazine takes its name from the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. Between July 2012 and mid-2014 its team made 18 monthly issues, alternating an Indian talent on one cover with an international guest on the next. The run ended in 2014 for ordinary reasons: a new baby in the founders' home, a PDF format that did not suit readers who had moved to phones, and a website that was hacked.
"We took the name from the two servants who were praised," said Premasis Satman, co-founder and executive director of 5Talents. "They were not the most gifted. They used what they had. That is still the whole idea, and in 2026 we finally have the tools to do it every week."
The relaunched 5Talents covers Christian culture, formation, news, events and conferences, and does not cover political controversy. It already draws readers from India, the United States, the Philippines, the UK and Canada, and now writes for a global audience.
The archive issues have been checked piece by piece. Writers from the first run have been contacted, and articles are held back where permission is still pending.
The site publishes profiles of Christians using their gifts, alongside reporting on Christian events and conferences. Interviews for the magazine are conducted by email, with questions sent in advance.
Numbered monthly issues begin in January 2027, with one cover story a month.
